# Deals Overview

Deals represent revenue opportunities in Operate. They track an opportunity from first conversation through close, giving you and your team visibility into your pipeline.

## What is a deal?

A deal connects a potential revenue opportunity to:

* **People** — the contacts involved in the buying process
* **Companies** — the organization you're selling to
* **Next Steps** — the actions needed to move the deal forward
* **Feedback** — insights from the prospect that inform your approach

## Key attributes

| Field      | Description                               |
| ---------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| Name       | A descriptive title for the opportunity   |
| Stage      | Where the deal sits in your pipeline      |
| Value      | The expected revenue amount               |
| Owner      | The team member responsible for this deal |
| Close date | When you expect the deal to close         |

## Pipeline view

The pipeline view gives you a drag-and-drop board of all active deals, organized by stage. Use it to quickly assess where things stand and identify deals that need attention.
