Slack Work Objects

Work Objects are interactive Slack messages that represent CRM data — deals, next steps, people, and companies. They let your team view and act on Operate data without switching to the browser.

How they work

When Operate posts an update to Slack, it arrives as a Work Object — a rich, interactive message with action buttons. Instead of just a notification, you get a mini view of the CRM record.

Types of Work Objects

Deal cards

A snapshot of a deal including stage, value, owner, and recent activity. Actions:
  • View full deal in Operate
  • Change stage
  • Add a next step

Next Step cards

A pending action item with due date, owner, and linked deal. Actions:
  • Mark as complete
  • Snooze to a later date
  • Reassign to a teammate

Person cards

A contact summary with title, company, and recent interactions. Actions:
  • View full profile
  • Create a next step
  • Log a note

Where they appear

Work Objects appear in:
  • Deal channels — as part of automated updates
  • Daily/weekly digests — as actionable items in your digest messages
  • Direct messages — for personal reminders and assignments
